Paris Escapades

Last week I traveled to Paris with my mom for a much needed girls week. On past trips to the city of lights, I spent all my time hitting the major tourist highlights. This time, I was determined to do my research and create some new experiences. Find my favorites below:

Georges - restaurant atop the Centre Pompidou. Marvelous spot to hob-knob with jet-setters and experience breathtaking views.

Bistrotters - currently #1 on Trip Advisor...and for a reason. Delicious farm to table fare.

Musee des Decoratifs - La Mecanique des dessous - Located on the exterior of the Louvre compound, this museum offers unique exhibits. Currently, its featuring a fascinating look at the history of male and female undergarments.Check out the beauteous photo courtesy of Vogue, who apparently is also a  huge fan of the exhibit.

Rue Vieille du Temple - This Street and its surrounding counterparts in La Marais (Jewish Quarter) feature tasty cafes and trendy boutiques such as Maje, Sandro and Isabel Marant.

Crushin' On: Fast Company's Infographic of the Day

Fast Company offers its readers an infographic every day. Needless to say, I am thrilled.
Below you will find a selection of a few of my favorite posts.

A massive anthology of every "superpower" imaginable and the superheros that have them. A few things I learned: explosive sweat is the Anarchist's power of choice, there is a superhero named Chlorophyll Kid who can make plants grow faster and finally, that apparently puppetry can be effectively used as a weapon.

CHEESE! Currently looking for a spot on my wall, so I can justify purchasing this beauty!

I'm always looking for new drinks to try. This poster listing movie and literary character's cocktails of choice offers me a world of inspiration!

My Favorite Things: Summer 2013

At the start of summer I always go a little shopping crazy. Purchasing a few key items helps me get into the sunshine spirit and prepare for vacations I have coming up. The gauze hooded cover-up by Lemlem is the perfect pool and beach cover-up offering shade from the sun while allowing me to stay cool. I fell in love with this green jacquard patterned dress by Opening Ceremony as soon as I saw it. It's versatile and such a stunning piece. I actually first found it while perusing Rent the Runway, but was so taken with it that I knew I wanted more than one wear out it.  I wore it a wedding in early July and am already counting down the days till I get to take it out again. As for the coral beaded maxi dress by L Space The Collection , I have not found the right occasion to sport it yet, but I have a Hamptons vacation coming up at the end of the month, which should be perfect.

On My Playlist: Hello Summer 2013

I like to say that all people have three mundane skills. These skills are most likely not useful in your professional or everyday life, but for what they lack in value, they make up for in spunk. One of my skills is making playlists. I would make CD's for my high school friends about three times a year without fail. I stopped doing that once CD's became obscure (firstly, it became harder to locate blank ones), but have decided that I should continue with the sharing process.

SO here is my Hello Summer 2013 Playlist, please ignore that the post date does not align with the start of summer.
